Puraro Tribal Chief Supports Sustainability of Special Autonomy & Expansion of DOBP PapuaBP

Suleman Puraro (Head of the Puraro tribe) Supports the sustainability of Otsus and the establishment of New Autonomous Regions (DOB) in Papua Province.

"As the head of the Puraro Tribe, the special autonomy (Otsus) granted to Papua is one solution to the welfare of the people in the easternmost province of Indonesia and Otsus is a form of concern from the central government for the welfare of the people in Papua," he said.

In addition, Suleman Puraro also said that Otsus should be extended and revised for the benefit of many people, instead of rejecting the extension of Otsus as stated by some small, irresponsible groups, and Otsus is very helpful for the Papuan people.

"As a tribal chief, I am very supportive, with the enactment of the New Autonomous Region (DOB) by the central government, it is very helpful and expedites the use of Otsus funds to increase development and the welfare of the Papuan people," he said.
