Increasingly heated, the election of Raffi and Nagita as icons of the XX Papua PON finally made Olvah Alhamid open his voice. The 2015 Miss Indonesia West Papua spilled her thoughts on her personal Instagram account.

Different from the voices of other public figures, Olvah actually explained that the election of Raffi and Nagita as icons of XX Papua PON is a good thing. He said that before being promoted by the Rans Entertainment frontman, PON XX Papua was only known to 40 percent of people.

"When he met the PON committee in Jakarta, he said that a lot of people didn't know that PON would be in Papua. I was surprised, 'Is that so?' With Raffi's sister and Nagita posting, this is what many people know," he explained.

Although PON XX Papua cooperates with people who are not of Papuan descent, Olvah added that Papuan culture will still be exposed. Olvah emphasized that everything from food to Papuan accessories will decorate the XX Papua PON sports event.

"This is a good thing. With people coming to Papua, it is hoped that it can improve the people's economy. There are many who sell Papuan bags, culinary, accessories, whatever. It will automatically increase people wanting to try the food, the bag. Even if you buy it not for everyday use, but will be used as souvenirs," he added.
