The armed conflict in Papua Peak is getting worse and more brutal
Not only killing civilians, in its actions the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) has also claimed the lives of state security apparatus.
Recently, the Nemangkawi Task Force reported that as many as five people died because they were shot by the Papuan KKB in Eromaga Village, Ilaga District, Puncak Regency.
Commissioner Iqbal Al-Qudusy, who is the spokesman for the Nemangkawi Task Force, revealed that the dead victim was a village head named Petianus Kogoya along with four members of his family.
As previously reported, on Thursday, June 3, 2021, a resident who was a construction worker also died because he was shot in Eromaga Village.
The victim who died from a gunshot wound to the back of the neck on the right, named Abel Halenti, was 30 years old, as Thought-Rakyat.com quoted from Anadolu Agency.
According to information from the police, the incident began when Abel and two of his colleagues were stopped by two members of an armed group. The victim had asked for forgiveness, but was ignored and immediately shot by the perpetrator.
Meanwhile, a colleague of the victim named Muhammad Alif was able to escape by car to the Ilaga Police Station to report the incident.
On the other hand, the armed group is also suspected of having committed other criminal acts.
