Papuan KKB Members Who Surrender Are Treated Well

The Papuan KKB members who surrendered received good treatment from the TNI-Polri.

An example is what happened to former members of the Papuan Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Angkaisera and Kosiwo recently.

The Binmas Unit of the Yapen Islands Police carried out the Bina Waspada Matoa operation in 2021 to visit the community who were former members of the Papuan KKB in the Angkaisera and Kosiwo Regions, Friday (16/7/2021).

The Yapen Islands Police Binmas Unit also provided assistance in the form of food packages.

This is also a form of caring and maintaining mutual relations between the Police and the community, especially for former Papuan KKB.

Head of Binmas Police Yapen Iptu I Wayan Sukandia said the National Police will continue to provide and serve the community as much as possible, especially for our brothers and sisters who with good intentions want to return to the Republic of Indonesia.

"Through this Bina Waspada Operation, we also appeal to the former Papuan KKB to be able to play an active role together in creating a conducive National Security and Security situation in the Yapen Islands district," said Kasta Binmas.

The former KKB sympathizers visited were Jhon Mandai in Wabuayar village, Yahya Bonai in Konti village, Hendrikus Torobi, Papuan KKB sympathizer, Mananayang village in the Angkaisera district.

And John Sembai, a figure from the NRFPB, Ariepi Village, Kosiwo District.

A similar treatment was also experienced by the former commander of the Papuan KKB for the Mamta Region, Mr. Lambert Pekikir.

Launching from the tribratanews.papua.polri.go.id page, the National Police Noken Binmas led by the Deputy Head of the National Police Noken Binmas Task Force AKBP SOFYAN BUDIONO and accompanied by the Keerom Police Chief AKBP EMILE REISITEI HARTANTO visited Lambert Pekikir, Wednesday (17/03/2021).

During the visit, Deputy Head of the Police Noken Bimmas Task Force AKBP SOFYAN BUDIONO to Lambert Pekikir, conveyed the intent and purpose of the gathering, which was none other than the National Police's Noken Binmas program.

The program is about community empowerment in the fields of agriculture, plantations, animal husbandry and the teaching and learning police.

Of course Binmas Noken Polri will support to develop businesses from the people in Keerom Regency.

AKBP Sofyan Budiono continued, this activity was not only carried out in Keerom district, but also in other districts in Papua such as Puncak Jaya District, Timika District and Wamena.

“Regarding the recruitment of the National Police for OAP (Indigenous Papuans), 2000 people will be recruited.

We hope that you can convey to the young people in this village so that they can take part in the selection and can be selected for the acceptance of the National Police Officer Noken later, “said AKBP Sofyan Budiono.

AKBP Sofyan Budiono also hopes that they can jointly support development in Papua so that areas in Papua can develop.

The presence of the TNI-Polri security forces in Papua is to create security in Papua.

In addition, we also carry out law enforcement in the Papua Region in order to create a conducive Sitkamtibmas and together we avoid HOAX information.

On that occasion, Lambert Pekikir expressed his gratitude to the Head of the Keerom Police and the Deputy Head of the Binmas Task Force Noken Polri for the loving visit.

“This visit is very good and I thank you. For that, I ask the Keerom Police and Binmas Noken POLRI together to build good communication with all leaders so that they can help the Police in efforts to maintain security in Papua, especially in Keerom Regency," he said.

Lambert Pekikir also supports the government in building Papua to progress and the presence of security forces in Papua is to provide a sense of security to the Papuan people.

The activity ended with the delivery of basic necessities which were received directly by Lambert Pekikir as the former commander of the Papuan KKB in the Mamberamo Tabi region.
