The Roller Skate, Archery, and Rowing Venue for XX Papua PON has 95 percent progress

Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono said that five of the eight sports venues for the XX Papua PON have been completed.

Currently, said Basuki, there are three sports venues that are still under construction. However, it is planned to be completed by the end of July 2021.

This was conveyed by Basuki in a press statement related to the Preparation for the Implementation of PON XX and Peparnas XVI in Papua through the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel broadcast, Tuesday (13/7/2021).

"Several venues are currently under construction and are expected to be completed by the end of July because the progress is already 95 percent, namely the Roller Skate, Archery and Rowing arenas in Yutefa Bay," said Basuki.

Basuki is also optimistic that all sports venues will be completed soon. So that it can be used for the PON title in October 2021, next.

"So that all venues assigned by the Ministry of PUPR have been completed to be used at the PON October," he said.

He added that currently the PUPR Ministry has completed work on five sports venues. Namely, Aqutic for international standard swimming pools, Istora for several sports.

Then, the cricket venue, outdoor hockey field and indoor hockey.

"This has been completed," added Basuki.

He said later the venue would be handed over to the Papua Provincial Government for its maintenance and utilization.

"So there is no need for a PUPR permit anymore," he explained.
