Social Minister Invites Papuan Youth to Create Opportunities Ahead of PON

Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Tri Rismaharini invites the millennial generation of Papua to be more creative and create opportunities ahead of the XX National Sports Week (PON) in Papua.

"You have to be observant to see opportunities to become businessmen, so the key word is opportunity. Otherwise, creating opportunities such as taking PON moments from people who come to the PON location will definitely need souvenirs and that must be used," said Risma in her statement. received in Jakarta, Monday, August 9, 2021.

This was conveyed during her working visit, Risma handed over a package of screen printing equipment for the "Creative Digital Papua" Community or commonly known as (CDP).

The CDP community is a community consisting of Papuan youths who are engaged in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), start-ups that produce video content, photos and graphic design.

From the assistance provided, it is hoped that they can take advantage of the XX National Sports Week (PON) 2021 as an opportunity to create creativity.

The thing that needs to be owned, said the Minister of Social Affairs, by a prospective businessman is a strong mentality and never give up and keep trying until he achieves success.

"If you were able to do it in other fields, such as videos on YouTube, it's the same thing, only the media is different. Don't say you can't, but you can't because in the future this digital field must be able to become a selling power," he said.

In addition, Risma asked the CDP community to complete branding and packaging, and challenged them to sell T-shirts at PON Papua.

After meeting with CDP, at the same place Risma held a meeting with Pastor Lipiyus Biniluk, as the Chair of the Papua Province Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB) and his staff who discussed the Social Welfare Development Program in Papua.
