Tents for PON Papua SMEs Start to be Prepared

The Socio-Economic Sub-Sector which is under Division IV of Supporting Infrastructure and Facilities has begun to set up a booth for MSME players who will later participate in the XX Papua National Sports Week (PON) 2021 in the Jayapura Regency Cluster.

This was conveyed by the Coordinator of the Socio-Economic Sub-Sector of PB PON XX Cluster Jayapura Regency, Yos Levie Yoku, when confirmed by MC Jayapura, at the Secretariat of Sub-PB PON XX Cluster Jayapura Regency, Friday (10/9/2021).

The installation of the tents carried out by the Socio-Economic Sub-Sector under Division IV in the Jayapura Regency Cluster PB PON Sub Division in charge of Supporting Infrastructure has begun at the Parking Yard of Barnabas Youwe Stadium, Sentani City, Sentani District, Jayapura Regency, and will gradually be continued. at the venue or in any other match zone.

The woman who is also the Head of the Jayapura Regency Population Control and Family Planning (DP2KB) Department explained, in addition to the competition venue, the MSME stand tents will also be erected at the entrance to the Khalkote Beach Tourism Area and SPMA Road, as well as at Telaga Ria which is included in the Hope Village Zone.

"So the initial installation of this tent is a test step for MSME participants before the XX PON event takes place, so that the placement of MSME actors can be adjusted to the venue or zone division in the Jayapura Regency Cluster," he explained.

Yos Levie Yoku added that each tent will be used by a group of MSMEs that have been registered in the Socio-Economic Sub-Sector under Division IV in the PB PON XX Sub-Cluster of Jayapura Regency.

"According to the quota, there will be 100 MSME actors who will be involved and occupy the tents. These MSME actors are Papuan Orang Asli (OAP) who have previously attended training. So we hope that during and after the PON there will be an increase in the economy community, as one of the objectives of implementing the XX PON 2021 in Papua," he said.
