The celebration of the XX Papua PON 2021 in Merauke is enthusiastically welcomed by thousands of residents

The Gebyar PON XX Papua 2021 in order to welcome the implementation of the PON XX Cluster Merauke was held in the Future Time Capsule field at the Merauke Regent's Office, Jalan Brawijaya, Merauke District, Merauke Regency, Papua, enthusiastically welcomed by thousands of Merauke residents.

The opening of Gebyar PON XX 2021 took place at night by the Regent of Merauke Drs. Romanus Mbaraka M.T accompanied by the Commander of Korem 174 Merauke Brigadier General Bangun Nawoko and Forkopimda of Merauke Regency and the Daily Chair of PB PON XX Merauke Regency. Saturday 25 September 2021.

In his speech, the Regent of Merauke thanked the Chairman of the Committee for Gebyar PON XX Merauke Cluster, Mr. Otniel Deda, Amd. IP and all the people of Merauke Regency who have supported the Gebyar PON XX event.

This is inseparable from the participation of all parties and the TNI-Polri apparatus from the beginning of the XX PON implementation plan and have tried hard to continue to collaborate and synergize with all elements of society and the Merauke Regency Regional Government.

This also shows the seriousness and readiness of the Merauke community and all TNI-Polri security forces to make the XX 2021 PON activities a success.

Thanks were also conveyed by the Merauke Regent to the people who attended for complying with the Covid-19 Health Protocol, because all those present were wearing masks.

In the midst of thousands of residents, the Commander of the Merauke 174 Korem, Brigadier General Bangun Nawako, directly observed and spoke with the security forces involving the TNI-Polri to ensure that during the implementation of the Gebyar PON XX activities it was safe, smooth and conducive and the implementation of health protocols had been carried out properly.

The event was very lively PON XX Gebyar, attended by thousands of people who were entertained with regional dances from various well-known regional dance studios and local grub bands.
