Hundreds of Bullets Found to be Sold to KKB Sadist Egianus Kogoya
The joint investigation team of Mimika Police, Papua, together with the Nemangkawi Task Force are still investigating the discovery of more than 600 rounds of 5.56 millimeter ammunition which will be supplied to the armed criminal group (KKB), recently in Timika.
The head of the Mimika Poolres, AKBP IGG Era Adhinata in Timika, Wednesday, October 6, 2021, said that so far his officers have arrested four people involved in the syndicate of buying and selling ammunition.
"We have secured four people. We are still coordinating to find out where the ammunition came from. Until now we are still investigating," said Era.
Three of the four residents who were arrested were picked up by the Nemangkawi Task Force in Timika on Thursday last week. One of the perpetrators with the initials AB was arrested at his home on Jalan Pendidikan, Route 7, Timika. From the hands of AB, the officers confiscated 255 rounds of 5.56 mm ammunition and one motorbike without a police number.
AB admitted that he had previously sold 350 rounds of ammunition to someone with the initials KG through an intermediary with someone with the initials BS.
Following up on AB's statement, the Nemangkawi Task Force Team then picked up BS on Jalan Sam Ratulangi Timika and then arrested KG on Jalan Hasanuddin Timika. KG admitted that the ammunition he bought from AB was stored in his pigsty on Jalan Hasanudin.
The Nemangkawi Task Force team then took KG to the location of his pig farm on Jalan Hasanuddin and found 349 rounds of 5.56 mm ammunition.
Also secured with hundreds of rounds of ammunition, namely a Daihatsu Terios car with the police number PA-1689-MJ. The total ammunition that was secured by the Nemangkawi Task Force Team from various places in Timika at that time was 604 rounds.
KG revealed that the hundreds of rounds of ammunition were planned to be sold to KKB leader Nduga Egianus Kogoya.
Egianus Kogoya, who is included in the police DPO, is known to be the party most responsible for a number of cases of armed violence and sadistic murders in the Nduga area.
One of the most horrendous is the case of the murder of dozens of workers at PT Istaka Karya, a contractor company working on roads and bridges for the trans-Papua segment on December 2, 2018.
