4 Facts about the KKB Terrorist Acting Again in the Peak of Papua

 
A motorcycle taxi driver in Puncak Regency, Papua, was shot by an unknown person. Allegedly, the perpetrators are terrorists armed criminal group (KKB).
This incident occurred on Monday (4/10) at the Kali Ilame Permanent Bridge, Wako Village, Puncak Regency. Here are some facts about the shooting.

1. Meet 2 Unknown People

An ojek driver named Jusalim (48) initially took a passenger to the Gome District area. On the way back to Ilaga, to be precise near the Permanent Bridge in Kali Ilume, Wako Village, the victim was stopped by two perpetrators.

"The perpetrator asked the victim to take one of the two people back to Gome to pick up the goods at his house," said Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ahmad Musthofa Kamal, Tuesday (5/10/2021).

After that, the victim and one of the perpetrators returned to the initial place where the victim transported the perpetrator's friend. There, one of the perpetrators had been waiting near the Gome Permanent Bridge.

2. Victim is about to be shot in the head

Suddenly, an assailant who was waiting on the bridge, pointed a gun at the victim's head. Immediately, the suspect shot at the victim.

"Then when the friend of the perpetrator (perpetrator 2) who was behind the victim came down, his friend who was near the bridge approached the victim from behind and immediately pointed a gun at the victim's face and immediately fired it," he said.

However, the victim turned his head to the left, so the shot hit the victim's right cheek (recoset). Then the victim immediately drove his motorcycle to the Infantry Battalion 521 Raider Post to ask for help and assistance.

"Furthermore, the victim was taken to the Ilaga Health Center to get medical help and get medical treatment. The victim's condition is conscious," he said.

3. Police Ask for Victim's Information

The Puncak Police have asked for information from the victim and carried out a crime scene investigation. The victim is reported to be conscious.

"The victim is planned to be referred to the Mimika Regional Hospital today, Tuesday 5 October 2021 to get further medical treatment at the Mimika Regency Hospital regarding the victim's injuries," he said.

4. The Perpetrator is Hunted

As for the evidence that was secured from this incident in the form of a green helmet with the number 085 belonging to the victim and a red and black motorcycle unit. The police are still hunting for the perpetrators and investigating whether the perpetrators are from the terrorist armed criminal group (KKB) or not.

"For the perpetrators, we are currently pursuing them. We are still investigating (the perpetrators of the KKB). The victim is planned to be referred to the Mimika Hospital today to receive further medical treatment at the Mimika Regency Hospital regarding the injuries suffered by the victim," added Kamal.
