Peparnas XVI Opening Ceremony Opened by President Joko Widodo

The head of the ceremony for the Grand Committee of the National Paralympic Week (PB Peparnas XVI), William Manderi, said that Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) would open the XVI Papua Peparnas event at the Mandala Stadium in Jayapura.

"The president will be present at the opening of Peparnas XVI," said Manderi to Tribun-Papua.com, Friday (22/10/2021) night.

According to Manderi, the presence of this number one person in Indonesia has also been coordinated with the head of the Central NPC, Senny Marbun.

"This has been conveyed to the head of the Central NPC that the President will be present at the opening of the National Peparnas ceremony later," he explained.

He said the presence of Joko Widodo was also a form of his concern for the athletes who competed in this event.

"Because he is also concerned with disability, so Beliqu will definitely be here," he said.

Manderi added that the opening ceremony of the Peparnas event will be held on November 5, 2021 at the Mandala Jayapura Stadium.
