Barisan Merah Putih (BMP) Papua Province appreciates the performance of the government of Joko Widodo-Amin Ma'ruf regarding development in Papua and West Papua. The leap in progress and development results was felt in these two provinces.

The Secretary General of BMP Papua said that one of the outstanding results was education and health facilities. These two things are really needed by the Papuan people so that they can be more advanced.

Regarding the Covid-19 pandemic, the economy and community activities, both on the roads and at the market, are now starting to get crowded.

"Now the situation is back to normal and good. Land, sea and air transportation activities have also returned to normal, and the markets are already busy," said Wusabek in Jakarta, Saturday (16/10/2021).

Social assistance provided by the government in the form of basic necessities as a way to help the community during the pandemic is spread evenly. Mamas and grandmothers in Papua also received assistance during the pandemic.

The Covid-19 vaccination program is also running well, especially in urban areas including Papua. People are more self-aware to follow health protocols and follow vaccinations in an orderly manner.

In general, he said, his party supports the steps to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic and infrastructure development that has been carried out in Papua.

"We also appreciate the success of the Jokowi administration in building infrastructure, roads, dams, irrigation/irrigation, bridges, airports, and the development of border areas and others," he said.

A member of the Papua BMP, Abraham Jempor, added that his party also appreciated the government's success in restoring the national economy which had slumped due to the pandemic. "We encourage the government's success in economic recovery during the pandemic," he said.
