The Ministry of PUPR is accelerating the development of Trans Papua

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) continues to develop infrastructure in Papua and West Papua. Currently, one of the focuses is the Trans Papua section of the Jayapura-Wamena section.

The Director General of Highways at the PUPR Ministry Hedy Rahadian said the latest developments for Trans Papua. He said some have been paved and some have not. However, in terms of road access, there are only a few more that have not been penetrated to reach the Trans Papua target.

"If it is translucent, only a few remain. We will focus on Jayapura-Wamena first," said Hedy, Friday (15/10). He added, Wamena became one of the strategic areas to facilitate the flow of logistics. Therefore, roads in this area will be able to reduce logistics costs.
