Yahya Markus Felle, one of the boccia athletes from Papua Province, is proud to be able to participate and participate in the XVI National Paralympic Week (Peparnas).

Yahya played in the individual number category BC5 in the boccia sport which was first included in the XVI Papua National Park.

The BC5 category is a classification for moderately disabled athletes in individual numbers in the boccia sport.

For Yahya, he appreciated Papua being able to host the XVI National Paralympic Week.

"Thank you, the government, for providing an opportunity for Papuans and for us people with disabilities to participate in this national sporting event," Yahya told Antara in Jayapura, Wednesday.

According to Yahya, he is very happy to be able to join and play in the boccia sport.

"I hope Papua can get the best results and will try as much as possible to donate medals for Earth of Cenderawasih," he said.

He added that he hopes that other athletes with disabilities can be motivated by this national event so that in the future they can replace Papua's best positions in other sporting events.

"It is hoped that the government can be more serious in supporting sports for people with disabilities, especially boccia in the future," he said.
