CHAIRMAN OF FSPNI REGENCY AND CITY OF SORONG : OTSUS PROVIDES JOBS FOR OAP

Special Autonomy (Otsus) is a form of government trust in the Papuan regional government in managing and managing their own region. This form of trust can be seen through the appointment of the Regency/City House of Representatives (DPRK) which aims to serve as a forum for the aspirations of the Papuan people.

The appointment of members of the DPRK for the sake of accommodating the interests of the Papuan Indigenous People (OAP), but in its implementation there are some corrections given as stated by the Head of FSPNI Kab. and the City of Sorong, Pieter Sagisolo, who fully supports the sustainability of Otsus but asks for a review of the process for recruiting candidates for DPRK members.

"The application of the appointment path at the DPRK level must be well regulated and transparent so that it can avoid manipulation practices that lead to violations," said Pieter Sagisolo.

Pieter Sagisolo also stated that Otsus should be more targeted, such as providing job opportunities for OAP workers who still do not get permanent jobs or have not been appointed as permanent employees in various government institutions.
