Inaugurating GKN Jayapura, Minister of Finance Hopes It Can Push the Regional Economy

Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati inaugurated the Jayapura State Finance Building (GKN), Friday (26/11). The existence of GKN is a place or place for vertical units of the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) to be in the same location, so that they will be able to provide more integrated services.

"The Ministry of Finance's presence in Papua is able to provide maximum service to the economy, especially here, so that we can see the development development and improvement of the welfare of the people can run quickly and can then be seen in a real, accountable manner," said the Minister of Finance.

It is known that Papua and West Papua will manage Transfer to Regions and Village Funds (TKDD) in 2022 reaching Rp. 43.48 trillion for Papua and Rp. 19.61 trillion for West Papua which consists of special autonomy funds (Otsus), profit sharing funds, allocation funds. general allocation funds, special physical and non-physical allocation funds, and village funds.

GKN Jayapura has ten floors. All vertical unit agencies of the Ministry of Finance, namely the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, the Directorate General of State Assets, the Directorate General of Taxes, and the Directorate General of Treasury located in the Jayapura City area will provide services within the area.

Carrying the new way of working style and giving a touch of regional decoration, the workspace at GKN becomes a space for synergy and collaboration and supports a comfortable and good work atmosphere.

"So please take care so that our design to create a comfortable, good workspace that can create collaboration, synergy, but still maintain your professionalism, and also from a work discipline side must be realized," the Minister of Finance said.

The Minister of Finance said that in the Jayapura GKN location there is also room for the Office of the Steering Committee for the Acceleration of Special Autonomy Development for Papua (BP3OKP). BP3OKP was created based on the Special Autonomy Law (Otsus) which is tasked with supporting the implementation of Otsus in Papua.

"I hope that it will be a space for all Papuan stakeholders to jointly design special autonomy, in guarding special autonomy, and to ensure that special autonomy, especially the funds and budget provided, can really benefit the people and the development of Papua," explained the Minister of Finance.

In closing, the Minister of Finance advised that GKN Jayapura not to become a foreign building in the community. GKN has the same goal, namely advancing the people and economy of Papua, so that the role of the Ministry of Finance in encouraging the economy in Papua is realized.
