Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD, said that the Papuan armed criminal group (KKB) was tired or seeking attention for President Jokowi's visit abroad.

The reason is, the armed contact between OPM terrorists and the TNI cannot be separated from President Jokowi's working visit to attend the G20 Summit.

"The OPM always takes the momentum to attract foreign attention. The President is meeting with G20 figures. The OPM is taking advantage of that momentum," Mahfud MD told reporters, Monday (1/11/2021).

Mahfud said that the eyes of the international community saw the condition of Papua as well as other regions in Indonesia.

"Police and TNI have been very careful to protect civilians. But you know, the OPM always attacks from behind and uses civilians as shields and victims," ​​he said.
