The aggressiveness of the KKB is increasingly harming the Papuan people

The actions of the Papuan Armed Criminal Group (KKB) have recently been seen as increasingly showing their true identity. Deputy Secretary General of the NGO Lumbung Information People (Lira), Varhan Abdul Azis said that it is now increasingly difficult to believe that KKB are people who in their hearts want Papua to prosper by breaking away from the Republic of Indonesia. That's because, he said, the increasingly aggressive KKB did not hesitate to sacrifice anything, including the Papuan people themselves.

“Actually, the evidence is mounting that the KKB are only fighting for their own political ambitions to take power and become rulers. The proof is that they have the heart to kill the people and a number of Papuan community leaders, KKB terrorists even to the point of shooting dead teachers, figures who play a role in liberating the Papuan people from backwardness and illiteracy, as they did last April," said Varhan, in a written statement in Jakarta. , Saturday (13/11).

"Just look at their behavior. Is shooting dead Oktovianus Rayo and Yonatan Randen, honorary teachers at SD Imppres Beoga, who are struggling to free Papuans from illiteracy called a struggle? Are burning schools, shooting at clinics and burning down people's houses a struggle? Of course not," Varhan added.

Varhan said that KKB had the heart to close the opportunities for progress for young Papuans. They burned six junior high school classrooms, one laboratory room, one library room, which had been a place for young Papuan children to study. Not to mention what they did before and after the incident.

"What they say is a struggle for the Papuan people has proven to be bullshit seeing what they are doing on the ground that actually makes people miserable," said Varhan.

So far, the KKB gang has indeed committed acts against the law which are classified as acts of terrorism. Starting from kidnappings, killing civilians and security forces, to hijacking civilian aircraft which, according to him, can no longer be tolerated.

“Then they call themselves warriors? Instead of security buggers taking advantage of the chaotic atmosphere. Even though Papuans know for sure that KKB is a terror and crime organization that hides behind the mask of freedom fighters," Varhan claimed.

Varhan also hopes that the central government will be consistent in continuing to develop Papua and its citizens through Special Autonomy (Otsus) funds. City Government, as well as active participation," said Varhan.

The success of the XX PON, he said, directly dismissed accusations of being disrespectful to the people and the eastern part of Indonesia, especially Papua.

"Just watch, to ensure the success of the PON, the central government and the Papua Provincial Government have built the magnificent facility of the Lukas Enembe Stadium, which is the largest and grandest modern sports complex in the Asia Pacific region," said Varhan.

"So, the success of this sporting event has indeed united the Indonesian people. Papua is Indonesia," the man who was born in Sorong, West Papua added.
