BPKLN Papua hopes that the Waris-Yetetkun PLBN will become a new tourist destination



The Papuan Provincial Government (Pemprov) through the Border and Foreign Cooperation Agency (BPKLN) hopes that the construction of cross-border posts (PLBN) in two areas, namely Waris District, Keerom Regency and Yetetkun Village, Boven Digoel Regency can become new tourist destinations on Earth. Head of BPKLN Papua Province, Suzana Wanggai, told Antara in Jayapura, Tuesday, that it is hoped that the PLBN in Yetetkun, Boven Digoel Regency, can change the face of Papua again in the future.
 
"With this cross-border post, it can add points where the crossing of two countries looks more beautiful," he said.
 
According to Suzana, not only PLBN development, but also economic centers such as markets for mothers in the local area, both in Keerom and Boven Digoel Regencies.
 
He explained that in 2022 there will be two PLBNs that will be completed in the RI-PNG border area, namely in the Waris District of Keerom Regency and Yetetkun Village, Nienati District, Boven Digoel Regency.
 
"With the help of the mass media, the government can find out how far the development has been," he said.
 
He added that now it has become a new tourist destination, such as the PLBN in Skouw, Jayapura City and Sota, Merauke Regency.
