Corruptors in Papua are Protected by KKB, Lambert Pekikir: KKB is only used

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and other law enforcement officers have not been able to arrest all corruptors in Papua.

Because corruptors in Papua are protected by armed criminal groups (KKB).

This was revealed by the former Commander of the National Liberation Army (TPN) of the Free Papua Organization (OPM) in Keerom Regency, Lambert Pekikir.

According to him, the KKB in the forest can't do anything because they are only used.

"KKB is not aware that they can't do anything in the forest, they can only be used, this is maintained in a neat and systematic manner," said Lambert, Wednesday (15/12/2021).

Lambert said KKB used corruption funds to buy weapons abroad.

"The weapon is to create trouble to protect corruptors," he said.

Therefore, Lambert challenged the KPK to come to Papua to arrest corruptors.

Because Lambert will provide security for the KPK if he dares to go to Papua.

"KPK should not be afraid to go to Papua, we will escort the KPK when it catches the corruptors," he said.

His party also urged the government to reveal who the 10 major corruption cases in Papua were.

This was conveyed by Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD in May 2021.

He urged Mahfud MD to prove it.

"That what has been conveyed (Coordinating Minister of Political, Legal and Security Affairs) must be proven," he said.

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud Md said the government would thoroughly investigate 10 cases of alleged major corruption in Papua. Mahfud ensured that there would no longer be the assumption that there was corruption in the Land of Papua.
