Maintain Solidarity, TNI and Lanny Jaya Papuans Celebrate Christmas Together with the Burning Stone Tradition

Various activities carried out by soldiers of the 412th Mechanized Infantry Battalion (Kostrad) in the Lanny Jaya Regency, Papua, often reap the appreciation of the local community.

Starting from these activities, brotherly relations were established. In addition, the people of Lanny Jaya Papua Regency also feel safe and comfortable with the presence of TNI troops.

Most recently, the local community and soldiers from the Battalion 412 Kostrad Task Force gathered at the Tiom Assignment Post to celebrate the joy of Christmas 2021 by holding the Bakar Batu tradition.
 
In the photos circulating, there is no visible shyness from both parties. Both the people of Lanny Jaya and the soldiers of the Battalion 412 Kostrad Task Force mingled with each other and enjoyed the event.

For the record, Bakar Batu is the oldest tradition in Cenderawasih Earth which is held as an expression of gratitude to God Almighty for the sustenance given. In addition, this event also has the aim of increasing togetherness and a sense of sharing with others.

In this way, a strong solidarity was created between the TNI and the Papuan people, especially in the Lanny Jaya area.

Dansatgas Battalion MR 412 Kostrad Lieutenant Colonel Inf Moch. Renaldy Herbowo, S.Sos., M.Si thanked the community and conveyed that the arrival of the TNI to Lanny Jaya carried out a mission of peace and brotherhood.

"On the occasion of this Bakar Batu tradition, I would like to thank all the people for their togetherness so far, I didn't expect the atmosphere to be as lively as this," said Lt. Col. Renaldy.

"Then I said that the presence of Task Force 412 to Lanny Jaya Papua aims to bring peace and brotherhood," he continued.

Yaqub Kogoya, a community leader in Tiom District, also expressed his gratitude to the Yonis MR 412 Kostrad Task Force who worked hand in hand in organizing the Bakar Batu tradition.

"Thanks to Task Force 412, hopefully in this Christmas celebration we will all be given peace and love," said community leader, Yaqub Kogoya.
