THE ACTION OF SEPARATISM IN PAPUA IS FULL OF POLITICAL INTEREST

The actions of separatist groups always invite criticism from a number of figures in Papua, because their actions are always detrimental and create concerns that disrupt the security situation. In fact, recently the separatist group's actions have not only targeted the security forces but also civilians.

According to the Chairman of the Indigenous Youth of the Saireri region, Ali Kabiay asked the government to really take strategic steps to be able to immediately stop the conflict caused by the actions of separatist groups.

"I think that to overcome the actions of separatist groups in Papua, approaches need to be taken, especially by the Regional Government. They can carry out a series of coaching, of course the government must think about strategic steps, "

Ali Kabiay said the persuasive step was one way to raise awareness in the people of Papua. So that it has an impact so that it is no longer affected by all things related to separatism.

“Awareness that grows from the community will change their perspective, they will think more critically and choose to be busy developing their abilities. They will also not be easily provoked by issues of separatism because it is considered a useless thing,"

Moreover, separatist actions in Papua do not only revolve around armed unrest, but also through political actions that are often echoed by the KNPB group, ULMWP, or a number of students.
