Bank Papua earns a net profit of IDR 371 billion in 2021
PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah (BPD) Papua achieved a net profit of IDR 371 billion in 2021 even though the COVID-19 pandemic was still hitting Earth of Cenderawasih.

"Bank Papua's gross profit also rose 4.09 percent from IDR 457 billion in 2020 to IDR 476 billion in 2021," he said.
According to Erna, Bank Papua's 2021 net profit recorded the highest record in the last six years or since 2016, where this regionally-owned bank had lost Rp237 billion.
"So then with the replacement of the board of directors which was carried out through the EGMS on March 6, 2017, then it could further contribute to the profit of Rp113 billion in 2017," he said.
He explained that Bank Papua's profit continued to climb the following year to Rp219 billion (2018), Rp250 billion (2019), and Rp345 billion (2020) and Rp371 billion (2021-UnAudited).
"In terms of assets, Bank Papua in 2021 also recorded an increase of 1.36 percent to Rp. 26.23 trillion with Bank Papua's total credit in 2021 reaching Rp. 17.59 trillion while total third party funds (DPK) last year reached Rp. 20.98 trillion, up 2.83 percent compared to 2020, which was Rp. 20.4 trillion," he said again.
He added that in terms of profitability and bank efficiency, the Bank Papua's ROA 2021 was recorded at 1.87 percent, ROE 14.45 percent, NIM 6.22 percent and BOPO 83.45 percent, while the ratio of non-performing loans (NPL) ) is still below the threshold set by the regulator, the 2021 gross NPL was recorded at 3.41 percent or decreased by 18.27 percent.
Previously, the Head of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Office for Papua and West Papua Provinces, Adolf Fictor Tunggul Simanjuntak, appreciated the improvement in Bank Papua's performance with a reduced NPL Nett of 22.81 percent to only 1.07 percent and assessed that the management of Bank Papua was very good with the trend. more increasing.
Not only that, at the end of 2021, PT Pemeringkat Efek Indonesia (Pendo) also assigned a "idA-" rating to Bank Papua, which means that the outlook for the corporate rating is "stable".
An obligor rated idA- has a stronger ability than other Indonesian obligors to meet its long-term financial commitments.
