Danrem 174 mentions handling of Papua with territorial-community development

The Commander of Korem (Danrem) 174/ATW Brigadier General Bangun Nawoko revealed that the pattern of handling in Papua has changed with the implementation of tasks more focused on territorial development and social communication (Komsos).

Information received from Pendam XVII/Cenderawasih, Friday, stated that Danrem 174/ATW Brigadier General Bangun Nawoko as the Operations Executing Commander (Dankolakops) for the Southern Sector of Papua accompanied by the Head of Persit KCK Koorcab Rem 174 Mrs. Renny Bangun Nawoko visited the Indonesian Pamtas Task Force Command Post-PNG Infantry Battalion 123 /RW in Sipias Village, Elikobel District, Merauke Regency.

Danrem advised the task force soldiers to be successful in carrying out their duties.

"Indicators of task success are the absence of violations, carrying out tasks to completion in a safe condition and the Papuan people crying when you return to your original unit," said Danrem.

Danrem said the pattern of handling in Papua has now changed, with the implementation of tasks more focused on territorial development and social communication.

"For that we change the concept of operation with a very simple pattern," he also said.

Danrem invites TNI AD soldiers to change the pattern of operations in a simple way, namely Baktiku for Papua.

"During this assignment in Papua, I will always love the Papuan people, protect the Papuan people, help the Papuan people and maintain the dignity of the Papuan people," said Danrem.

The arrival of Danrem 174/ATW was welcomed by Dansatgas Pamtas RI-PNG Infantry Battalion 123/RW Lieutenant Colonel Inf Goklas P Silaban and his soldiers.

Dansatgas Pamtas RI-PNG Yonif 123/RW said the visit of Danrem this time was to say goodbye because he would be moving to become Waasops Kasad at the Army Headquarters in Jakarta.

"The visit of Danrem 174/ATW Merauke as Dankolakops in order to say goodbye and this is an honor for us, as well as increase the morale of the task force members in carrying out the task of securing the South Sector RI-PNG border," said the Dansatgas.

After his instructions, Danrem 174/ATW gave gifts to the task force soldiers which were received by the Indonesian Pamtas Dansatgas-PNG Infantry Battalion 123/RW.
