Papuan BUMN Task Force distributes basic material assistance for flood victims

The Papua Province BUMN Task Force (Satgas) distributed basic material assistance worth Rp. 54 million to the local Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) as a form of concern for residents of Jayapura flood and landslide victims.

Deputy Coordinator of the BUMN Task Force for Papua Province, Sugeng Widodo, in a press release in Jayapura, Sunday, said that the assistance collected from PLN and BNI is planned to be directly used to meet the needs of public kitchens for flood and landslide victims.

"We from the SOE Task Force would like to thank PLN and BNI for providing assistance," he said.

According to Sugeng, his party also expressed his gratitude to the Papua Province BPBD for helping to distribute the aid.
 
"Hopefully it will be useful for the community and hopefully this disaster will end soon," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of Prevention, Evacuation Preparedness, Handling of Refugees and Logistics of Satpol PP and Regional Disaster Management of Papua Province, Paminto Widodo, said that his party expressed his appreciation to the SOE Task Force for its quick response to the conditions that occurred.

"Thanks to the Papua Province SOE Task Force for providing assistance to disaster victims in Jayapura, which will immediately be distributed to the Jayapura City Flood and Landslide Disaster Emergency Response Post," he said.

Just to note, in addition to the assistance, several SOEs have also distributed their assistance directly to flood and landslide locations in Jayapura.

Until now, a total of Rp. 186 million in aid has been distributed by BUMN in Papua Province for victims of the Jayapura flood and landslide.

The SOE Task Force will continue to seek assistance from SOEs in Papua so that it can continue to be distributed until conditions recover.

The SOE Task Force has provided a SOE Disaster Response Command Post at the PLN Main Unit Office for the Papua and West Papua Regions, Jl. Ahmad Yani No. 18 Jayapura.
