The Biak Regency Government provides assistance to mini gas stations for Papuan SMEs
The Regent of Biak Numfor Regency, Herry Ario Naap, provided assistance with mini-gas station facilities to small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) indigenous Papuans (OAP) Orgenes Rumbiak, a resident of Samofa District.
The Head of Public Relations of the Biak Numfor Regency Government, Fiktor Palembangan, received by ANTARA, Saturday morning, explaining that the mini Pom assistance is a program from the Biak Numfor Regency Social Service whose procurement comes from the 2021 Special Autonomy (Otsus) budget.
The Regent who was accompanied by the Head of the Biak Regency Social Service, Numfor Ferry Betay, said that efforts to develop populist-based economic enterprises, especially among indigenous Papuans, needed to be supported by all relevant agencies, including BUMN/BUMD in Biak.
"The Biak Numfor Regency Government continues to encourage activities based on people's economic development among indigenous Papuans, programmatic guidance and support through the related OPD," said the Regent.
The Regent invites all OPD, related agencies or institutions to participate in providing support for the development and development of a people-based economy, at least starting from small businesses by participating in providing capital support or other supporting facilities and infrastructure.
"I also hope that the assistance provided by the government can be developed properly, pay attention to the management so that it can help increase income, at least the income to meet the daily needs of the family," said Regent Herry Naap.
