The Construction of an Emergency Wooden Bridge by the TNI Appreciated by Papuans

The construction of an emergency wooden bridge for the people of Kondo Village, Neukenjerai District, Merauke Regency, Papua has been built by TNI soldiers, especially the RI-PNG Border Security Task Force Infantry Battalion 123/Rajawali.

Dansatgas Battalion 123/RW Lt. Col. Goklas Pirtahan Silaban confirmed that Pos Kondo personnel worked on the construction of several bridges by utilizing the existing wood around Kondo Village, Neukenjerai District.

The members of the Task Force are enthusiastic so they can work from morning to evening. The hope is that the bridge can be completed soon and can be passed by residents.

"The people of Kampung Kondo thank the Task Force Battalion Battalion 123/RW for making it easier for residents to go to the fields to farm," said the Dansatgas.

Initially, the construction of this emergency wooden bridge was motivated by concerns about the residents who had to walk long distances. Especially if you go to the fields to farm.

"So the Pamtas Yonif 123/RW Satgas personnel built wooden bridges at several points that were simple but passable while still prioritizing the safety factor," said Dansatgas.

In addition to being able to cut mileage and make it easier for the community, this bridge is also expected to maintain the security and safety of the lives of local residents.

"With the bridge, the distance between the village and the rice fields as well as the community's fields will be close and easy to pass," he said.
