The Regent of Central Mamberamo participated in the construction of the GKII Calvary church

The Regent of Central Mamberamo Regency Ricky Ham Pagawak (RHP) participated in realizing the construction of the church building for the Calvary Onggobalo Congregation of the Indonesian Gospel of Kema Church (GKII) after the groundbreaking began.

This follows the start of laying the groundwork for the construction of the Kalvari Congregation church building in Onggobalo Village, Tagime District, Jayawijaya Regency, Monday (25/1/2022).

A written statement from the public relations officer of the Central Mamberamo Regency Government, Wednesday, stated that the groundbreaking for construction on January 25, 2022 in Onggobalo Village, Tagime District, Jayawijaya Regency was carried out by the Regent of Central Mamberamo Ricky Ham Pagawak, Head of Region IV GKII Tibetan Pastor Yikwa and Head of Tagime District Rifka Yikwa.

Worship started the laying of the first stone for the construction of a new church building.

On that occasion, the Regent of RHP provided assistance to the development committee and the work meeting committee.

The Regent of Central Mamberamo Ricky Ham Pagawak said that he was here because he was invited by the committee. Moreover, in the Tagime area, culturally, it is still family.

"On that basis, we are here and provide financial assistance for the development committee and the work meeting committee," he said.

The Regent of RHP who is also Deputy Chairperson of the Papuan Democratic Party DPD, said that apart from the government, the democratic party also contributed by helping with tin roofs and plywood.

"The amount will be adjusted to the needs of the tin roof and plywood from the committee. Of course, the government and parties will continue to follow the construction of the church of the Calvary Congregation," he said.

The Regent of RHP hopes that the assistance provided can be used properly so that the congregation's longing to have a permanent church building can be realized.

The regent for the two periods is sure that, apart from the assistance from the Central Mamberamo Government, there will be similar assistance from the Jayawijaya regent, who is the owner of the area.

Head of Region IV GKII Tibetan Pastor Yikwa expressed his gratitude for the concern of the Central Mamberamo Regent who was present and provided financial assistance to support church construction and work meetings.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Tagime District, Rifka Yikwa, expressed his appreciation to the Regent of Central Mamberamo for the assistance provided to the Onggobalo Calvary congregation.

According to him, his party cannot repay the assistance that has been given.

During the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Calvary Church, the Chairman of the Central Mamberamo DPRD Hengky Dani Yikwa and the DPC administrators of the Central Mamberamo Democratic Party were also present.
