TNI Killed in Papua So 3 People, Shooting Still Ongoing

Another TNI member was killed in a shootout with the Papuan KKB in Gome District, Puncak Regency, Thursday (27/1). The latest news mentions that the total number of TNI members who died has increased to three personnel.

"It's true that another soldier died about an hour ago. Gunfights are reportedly still ongoing. Pratu Rahman was reported to have died in a shootout in Gome, at around 10.00 WIT," said Danrem 173 Brigadier General Taufan Gestoro, Thursday (27/1) quoted from Between.
 
Taufan also confirmed that the death of Pratu Rahman made a total of three TNI soldiers died in a shootout in Gome, Puncak Regency. Previously, two soldiers who died, namely Serda Rizal and Pratu Baraza, were hit by bullets in the stomach.
 
Taufan confirmed that the three victims were members of Infantry Battalion R 408/SBH who are members of the Security Task Force for Vulnerable Areas.

KKB claimed responsibility for the incident. TNPB-OPM said the attack on the TNI was carried out by the group led by Numbuk Telenggen.

"Numbuk Telenggen with his troops attacked the Koramil post in the Gome Tanah Merah district, Puncak Ilaga Regency. In this attack two TNI members were shot," said TNPB-OPM Spokesperson, Sabby Sembom
