Kodam: TNI Soldier Who Died Was Not Shot By KKB But An Accident

The Indonesian National Army (TNI) denied that its soldier Prada Enos Aninam died not because he was shot by the Separatist Terrorist Group or commonly known as KKB Papua, but because of an accident.

Head of Information for Kodam XVII Cenderawasih Colonel Inf. Aqsha Erlangga said the Separatist Terrorist Group (KST) admitted that Prada Enos Aninam died because he was shot by his side during a shootout with the TNI, Saturday, February 5, 2022, here in Titigi Village, Sugapa District, Intan Jaya Regency.

“It turns out that the late Prada Enos Aninam was not a victim of the KST shooting. The late Prada Enis Aninam died due to a single traffic accident in Manokwari Regency," said Kapendam, Sunday, February 6 2022.
 
In fact, the KST group confessed in several media that they had shot TNI soldier Enos Aninam in Titigi Intan Jaya Village on Saturday morning at 06.00 WIT.

After examining how the actual incident happened to the late Prada Enos Aninam who was a member of Bekangdam XVIII/Kasuari who died due to a single accident.

"The late Prada Enos Aninam experienced a traffic accident on Saturday morning at around 06.00 WIT, on Jalan Palapa SMAN 1 Manokwari, Manokwari while riding a Honda CRF motorcycle," explained Kapendam XVII/Cenderawasih.

Then Prada Enos Aninam was taken to the Manokwari General Hospital and immediately treated by a doctor, then the doctor declared him dead.

Furthermore, Kapendam said that the news conveyed by the KST gang that the victim of Prada Enos Aninam died from being shot was completely untrue.

“This hoax news from the KST gang is not the first thing, but it has happened many times. So don't believe the news and claims from the KST gang," said Kapendam.
 
"This KST gang often spreads provocative fake news and terrorizes people in Papua so that people in Papua feel tense, afraid and feel insecure living in Papua. That is the characteristic of terrorist acts. They always deliberately create terror so that people in Papua scared to the point of being disturbed by their daily life activities," explained the Head of the Regional Headquarters again.
 
Until now, the situation is generally safe and conducive and people can carry out their activities as usual.
