Community Leaders in Jayawijaya Support Papua Reconciliation Peace and Love for the Homeland



Papuans have long wanted peace. Because only then their lives can be calm and development can proceed.
 
For this reason, a number of indigenous peoples and religious leaders in Lapago, Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Province declared the declaration of Papua's love for the Republic of Indonesia and the resolution of the Papuan problem with dignity through reconciliation towards peaceful Papua, which was marked by the raising of the red and white flag.

The declaration activity with the theme 'Papua NKRI and Papua Peace' was attended by a number of traditional leaders, community leaders, religious leaders, women's leaders and youth leaders of the Lapago traditional area.

After starting with the planting of the red and white flag on Walesi Hill and the declaration field, it was continued by reading the statement of attitude led by Herman Doga as the Chair of the Jayawijaya Regency Indigenous Community Institution (LMA) and followed by the declaration participants.

"First, to support the preservation of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia in Papua. Second, to support peaceful Papua within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia through reconciliation. Third, to support the resolution of problems in Papua with dignity," said Herman Doga while reading the statement on Thursday (3/3).
 
Then, fourth, to encourage the acceleration of development and the formation of new autonomous regions in Papua by prioritizing the division of districts that have been fought for independently by the community, so that it will open up job opportunities, especially for OAP.

"Fifth, encourage the socialization of Papua Special Autonomy to the Papuan people," concluded Herman, which was followed by other members of the declaration.

Then after reading the joint statement of position, the event continued with the signing of a declaration on billboards and a statement of attitude by the figures. According to Ustad Adnan Yalipele, who is one of the members of the declaration, the community is very enthusiastic and continues to support Papuan unity as a form of unity in Indonesia.

The activity was attended by Alex Silokarno Doga as the District Tribal Chief, Silokarno Doga as the Head of the Papua and West Papua Act, Wesakin Asso as the Tribal Chief and Head of LMA Asso Tipo District and the son of the Pepera fighter.

Then Herman Doga as Chair of the LMA Jayawijaya Regency, Naligi Kurisi as Head of the Wamena War Tribe of Jayawijaya Regency, Sadiq Asso as Tribal Chief and Chair of the Walesi District LMA who is also the son of the Pepera fighter, then Heri Bertus Mabel who is the Head of the Kurulu District and the son of the Pepera fighter.

In addition, Agus Huby as the Head of the Red and White Front (BMP) of Jayawijaya Regency, Hengky Heselo as the Head of the Kurima Community Tribe and the Head of Lani Tipo Wamena Village, Okolawek Wetapo as the Chair of the LMA Asolokobal District and the son of the Pepera fighter.

Then, Usman Wuka as the Head of the Wouma District, Jayawijaya Regency, Alex Logo, the Head of the Kurulu District BMP,
Ismail Dabi as the Head of the Kurulu District and also the Walesi District Tribal Chief and the son of the Pepera fighter, Bashori Asso.
