Supporting the Capital City in East Kalimantan, Governor of West Papua: Flying 2.5 Hours Already at IKN

West Papua Governor Dominggus Mandacan supports the construction of the National Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago in East Kalimantan (Kaltim). The location of the IKN is considered closer, thus facilitating the administration of government affairs.

He said the administration, implementation of development and work that requires coordination with the Head of State or Head of Government will be faster because the travel time is shorter than going to DKI Jakarta.
 
"This makes it easier for us from the East, we don't have to fly five hours to Jakarta, but we can fly two hours or two and a half hours already at IKN, this is hope for the future," said Dominggus, quoted from the Presidential Secretariat YouTube in Jakarta, Monday (14/3). /2022).

In addition, he said the cost of official travel could also be more efficient. He revealed, the impression when West Papua handed over land and water to the President in the procession of unification of land and water at the Zero Point IKN, Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan.

"We can be here to bring land and water. Thus, land means to show that we are one homeland, Indonesia," he said.
