The bodies of two marines who were victims of the KKB shooting were evacuated to Timika



The bodies of two marines who are members of the Mupe Task Force who were victims of the shooting of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB), Sunday, were evacuated from Kenyam, the capital of Nduga Regency to Timika, Papua.
 
"It is true that the two bodies from the Marine Battalion-3 who died in a shootout with the KKB on Saturday (26/3) evening, have been evacuated to Timika, at around 08.30 WIT by helicopter," said Nduga Police Chief AKBP Komang Budhiarta to ANTARA, Sunday. .
 
He said the two bodies that were evacuated were Marine Lt. Muhammad Ikbal and Private Marine Wilson Anderson Here.
 
Based on the reports received, the KKB attack on the Mupe Task Force Post in Kwareh Bawah was led by Egianus Kogoya who was carrying a grenade-throwing weapon (GLM).
 
The attack from the KKB which took place on Saturday (26/3) evening, at around 17.45 WIT was carried out from two directions and carried their firearms.
 
In addition, the KKB attack also caused eight marines to be reported injured and they have been evacuated to Kotis Marines in Kenyam.
 
When asked about Kenyam's condition, AKBP Komang Budhiarta admitted that he was relatively safe, even though gunshots were heard early Sunday morning.

"People prefer to stay at home," said AKBP Komang Budhiarta.
