The Papua Provincial Government targets the construction of the governor's office to be completed in December

The Papuan Provincial Government (Pemprov) targets the construction of the new governor's office to be completed in December 2022 and inaugurated as scheduled.

Assistant for Development and People's Welfare of the Regional Secretariat of Papua Province Muhammad Musa'ad, in Jayapura, Saturday, said that the construction of the government building is currently underway.

"Based on the report from the implementing party, it is on track, so we hope that the inauguration of the new governor's office is on schedule," he said.

According to Musa'ad, his party continues to evaluate every month to find out the progress of the construction of the 10-story building.

"We hope this can be in accordance with what has been planned so that the concentration of services can also be better," he said.

He explained the design of the office construction carried out by PT. Development and Housing (PP) Tbk in accordance with local wisdom.

"It has been conveyed to PT PP that the shape of the building will be low-carbon and unique with Papuan characteristics," he said again.

Just to note, previously Governor Lukas Enembe had announced the construction of the Papua Governor's office along with four other buildings and the Papuan People's Assembly (MRP) on July 19, 2021.

On that occasion, the number one person in Bumi Cenderwasih said that the construction of the rehabilitated office was in accordance with the current digitalization era.
