Cork Visits Yobeh Village Reading House for the Eradication of Illiteracy in Jayapura Papua



The Jayapura District Police through an activity called the Reading and Writing Movement (Gabus) visited the Reading House in Yobeh Village, Sentani, Jayapura Regency, Thursday (12/5/2022).
 
Jayapura Police Chief, AKBP Fredrickus WA Maclarimboen said this program was to assist the government in accelerating the eradication of illiteracy.
 
"The activity led by Iptu Dorlince Banundi and his members visited children in the village," he said.

He said the participation of Polwan in the program was an active step so that the community and students could easily understand the learning material.
 
"We involve policewomen in the literacy movement program so that children are closer, so that our target can be realized," he said

The Gabus innovation has been running for the past few months, especially for policewomen teachers, showing significant progress.
 
According to him, from some time, it can be seen the difference from before, namely in the process of reading and counting.

"Later on, it will continue to be evaluated so that this program can run as expected," he concluded.
