Governor handed over awards to 30 loyal taxpayers in West Papua Province

The Governor of West Papua, Dominggus Mandacan, presented gifts of appreciation to 30 motor vehicle taxpayers who have been loyal to paying taxes for five consecutive years on time.

The award gift was handed over by Governor Dominggus Mandacan to representatives of loyal taxpayers in the service area of the Sorong City Samsat office, Friday.

As many as 30 loyal taxpayers in the West Papua region who received the award were 15 two-wheeled motorized vehicle taxpayers and 15 four-wheeled motorized vehicles. The award recipients are spread across 12 districts and one city in the service area of the West Papua Samsat office.

Governor Dominggus Mandacan thanked the people who are still loyal to paying taxes on time because taxes are the source of funds to support regional development.

He also appreciated the Blood Revenue Agency and the Samsat service office for continuing to innovate in order to provide the best service for taxpayers.

Head of the West Papua Regional Revenue Agency, Charles Hutauruk, who gave a separate statement, said that the award is a form of government appreciation for taxpayers who have paid taxes for five consecutive years according to the specified time.

"This is a spirit and cooperation between tax collectors, namely local governments and the community as taxpayers so that the tax targets are achieved," he said.

The award also makes the public as taxpayers who are loyal to pay taxes on time feel appreciated by the government.

"This award is also a role model or role model in motor vehicle tax services. This means that there are still many people who are obedient to paying taxes, so they must be given awards," he said.

Triyatna, one of the award recipients in the service area of the Sorong Samsat office, expressed her gratitude to the West Papuan government for awarding herself as a loyal taxpayer.

He said that he had been faithful to pay the two-wheeled motor vehicle tax for the last five years on time.

"Even though the COVID-19 pandemic has hit this country, I still pay my two-wheeled vehicle tax on time. And being given an award like this by the government, I am proud and say thank you," he added.
