The Papuan provincial government is aggressively producing human resources ready to work

The Papuan Provincial Government through the Department of Industry and Trade, SMEs and local Manpower encourages the Job Training and Industry Center (BLKI) to produce Human Resources (HR) ready to work in Cenderawasih Earth.

Head of the Peridagkop, MSME and Manpower Service, Omah Laduani Ladamay in Jayapura, Wednesday said that in order to reduce the unemployment rate in Papua, cooperation from all parties is needed.

"The target of the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) next year is the unemployment rate will reach one percent," he said.

According to Omah, in order to reduce this figure, the BLKI's job after providing the training can be directly employed.

"This year our unemployment rate fell to three percent from the previous year's four percent," he said.

He explained that the previous year it had gone up due to the COVID-19 pandemic, because many workers were laid off, but now it has gone down due to the increasingly sloping pandemic.

"For this reason, one of our efforts to reduce the unemployment rate is to print human resources that are ready to work according to the needs of the job field," he said again.

He added that his party is currently pushing for the implementation of a central program in Papua, namely the Skills Development Center with the Papua Job Training and Industry Center (BLKI), which has an important role in this program.
