The Indigenous Youth of the Saireri II Nabire Region in Jayapura City, Papua, issued a statement of full support for the establishment of the New Autonomous Region (DOB) for Papua.

The statement of position was held in Abepura which was attended by Tribun-Papua.com, on Friday morning (10/6/2022) and was led directly by the Chairman of the Indigenous Youth of the Saireri II Nabire Region in Jayapura City, Papua, Ali Kabiay.

In the statement of attitude, there are 3 main points conveyed by his party by looking at the various dynamics that occur in the Land of Papua.

"Especially in the urgency of accelerating the development of the welfare of the people of Papua and West Papua, in accordance with Presidential Instruction No. 9 of 2020, as well as the preparation of new autonomous regions in Papua Province.

For this reason, his party really feels the need to make a statement of attitude so that it can get attention.

"The first point is that we, the Indigenous Youth of the Saireri II Nabire Region, fully support the consolidation of the association of regents in the Tabi and Saireri customary areas, and are ready to welcome the formation of the Papua New Guinea," Ali said in an official statement.

Second, fully support the acceleration of development acceleration in Papua, through the implementation of the Special Autonomy Law Number 2 of 2021 for the welfare of the indigenous Papuan people.

Third, the Saireri Indigenous Youth Region II Nabire fully supports the draft process for the formation of new autonomous regions in Papua, for the sake of creating prosperity for the Papuan People (OAP).
