Bank Papua helps review the arrears of JKN contributions for Papuans
PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Papua or Bank Papua assists participants in the independent national health insurance program (JKN) in the provinces of Papua and West Papua who have arrears in contributions from BPJS Health.
Director of Finance of PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Papua, Yuliana D. Yembise in a release received in Sorong, Tuesday, said that his party handed over a funding assistance of Rp. 50 million as a donation in the JKN Concerned Community Funding Innovation Program (PIPMPJ) for independent participants who were in arrears in the JKN program contributions in Papua and West Papua regions.
He hopes that through this donation, independent participants who are in arrears in the Papua and West Papua regions can again gain access to adequate and productive health insurance protection for a quality future.
Yuliana said that with the increasing use of JKN KIS services which are widespread from Sabang to Merauke, it is necessary to collaborate with banks that can help BPJS Health services to remote areas.
It is said that this is in line with Presidential Instruction Number 01 of 2022 concerning Optimizing the Implementation of the National Health Insurance Program, one of which is to instruct regional heads to take steps so that every resident in their territory is registered as an active participant in the JKN program, so that access is needed to increase. health services to ensure the sustainability of the JKN program.
As a regional bank that serves the people of Papua and West Papua to remote areas, Bank Papua seeks to participate in the success of the Presidential Instruction.
"So it is hoped that with this collaboration, Bank Papua can play an active role in supporting the implementation of the JKN program for Papuans and West Papuans in terms of payment of fees and to support health facilities at the eastern end of Papua in order to improve health services for the community," he added. BPJS Kesehatan President Director, Ali Gufron Mukti, who gave a separate statement, said that one of the main focuses of BPJS Kesehatan in 2022 is to improve service quality and stakeholder satisfaction through various innovations.
Therefore, his party seeks not only to expand cooperation with the national banking network but also to reach out to banks owned by regional governments.
We are expanding this collaboration to answer the needs of JKN stakeholders. The demographic conditions of the Indonesian population are very diverse and not necessarily stakeholders have national bank accounts.
"We hope that this collaboration with regional banking partners can provide convenience for both JKN participants to pay contributions, as well as for health facilities to take advantage of the services we provide," he said.
Gufron explained, specifically to support the performance of health facilities, his party has collaborated with Bank Papua to provide the Supply Infrastructure Financing (SIF) Program for First Level Health Facilities (FKTP) and the Supply Chain Financing Program (SCF) for hospitals in collaboration with BPJS Kesehatan. and expansion of payment channels through autodebit system services.
"This SIF program can be used by FKTP to strengthen its facilities and infrastructure so that it can improve the quality of services for JKN participants. Meanwhile, the SCF Program can be used by hospitals to maintain liquidity, so that hospitals can optimally focus on providing the best service to JKN participants," he said. .
On the other hand, according to him, BPJS Kesehatan also has a Business Investment Reciprocal program, namely cooperation between BPJS Health and banking partners through the placement of Social Security Funds (DJS) and BPJS Health investments as well as other program synergies that are mutually beneficial to both parties.
