Kadin appreciates the Jayapura Regency Government for supporting indigenous Papuan entrepreneurs

The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) of Jayapura Regency, Papua, appreciates the Jayapura Regency Government (Pemkab) for supporting indigenous Papuan entrepreneurs.

The chairman of the Jayapura Regency Kadin, Jaap Suebu, in a press release received by ANTARA in Jayapura, Saturday, said the government really cares about indigenous Papuan entrepreneurs, especially indigenous women in Sentani, Jayapura Regency.

"On June 1, 2022, Jayapura Regent Mathius Awoitauw was present and launched the Cenderawasih restaurant belonging to the native woman Sentani Reni Suebu," he said.

According to Jaap, this shows a form of support from the government for indigenous Papuan entrepreneurs so that in the future his party hopes that economic growth in the region will continue to improve. "This is also to help restore the economy in Jayapura Regency after the COVID-19 pandemic," he said.

He explained that the economy in the region began to show a positive trend after the COVID-19 pandemic. "At least by the first half of 2022, growth for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Jayapura Regency will continue to increase," he said.

He added that the Jayapura Regency Kadin will also help MSMEs and the creative industry to advance the regional economy.
