A total of 304 students took part in the Religious Moderation Archipelago Collaborative Real Work Lecture program in Papua which took place from 20-23 July 2022.

Head of the Research and Community Service Institute of the State Islamic Institute (LPPM IAIN) Fattahul Muluk Papua Suparto Iribaram in a press release received in Jayapura, Wednesday, said they came from 37 State Religious Universities in Indonesia.

The 37 universities include 34 State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIN) and three State Christian Religious Universities, namely the Manado State Christian Institute (IAKN), IAKN Ambon, and the State Protestant Christian College (STAKPN) Sentani.

He said the activity was a national program organized by the Directorate General of Islamic Education at the Ministry of Religion.

He said IAIN Fattahul Muluk Papua together with STAKPN Sentani hosted the KKN implementation on "Bumi Cenderawasih" - the name for Papua.

The students were placed in 15 villages in Papua Province spread over four villages in Jayapura City, six villages in Jayapura Regency, and five villages in Keerom Regency.

The other students were placed in two villages in Raja Ampat Regency, one village in Kaimana Regency, and three villages in Fakfak Regency, West Papua Province.

He explained that the Nusantara Collaboration for Religious Moderation KKN was an effort by PTKIN to build harmony in religious life in Indonesia, especially in Papua.

"Through this Real Work Lecture on Religious Moderation Collaboration, students can apply the knowledge gained from campus to improve the welfare of the people in Papua through the potentials that exist in the village," he said.
