Battalion Task Force Strengthens Educators at the Papuan Border
The personnel of the Indonesian Pamtas Task Force-PNG Infantry Battalion 126/KC Pos Bompay, strengthen education personnel on the Papuan border, by teaching at the State Elementary School (SD) 1 Bompay, Waris District, Keerom Regency.
This was conveyed by the Dansatgas Pamtas Infantry Battalion 126/Kala Cakti, Lt. Col. Inf. Dwi Widodo in a written release in Senggi District, Papua, Wednesday 27 July 2022.
"The lack of educators in border areas, especially Papua, is one of our concerns. We support government programs in the field of education, namely developing Indonesia from the periphery by strengthening regional and rural areas within the framework of a unitary state and improving the quality of life of Indonesian people through improving the quality of education," said Lt. Col. Inf Dwi Widodo.
Departing from this, continued Lt. Col. Dwi, the Battalion 126/KC Task Force in collaboration with the Keerom Regency Education Office, and local schools are ready to provide task force personnel as educators.
"Our personnel before leaving for assignments on the Papuan border, have been equipped with good skills to be able to teach in schools," said Lt. Col. Dwi.
Rita (35), a teacher at a local school, expressed her pride in the TNI Task Force Battalion 126/KC who cares about education and the future of Papuan children at the border.
"Thanks to the presence of Mr. Task Force, the children are more enthusiastic about taking lessons because the way Mr. TNI teaches is very unique and interesting," he said.
