Renovation of the West Papua Pavilion at TMII Involve Technical OPD
Following up the visit of the Minister of Home Affairs and Acting. Governor Waterpauw, a number of measurable steps in revamping the West Papua Pavilion located in Taman Mini Indonesia have been designed. Sangkek said, the West Papua Pavilion will give its own color so that the public can know everything about the province, known as the Cassowary Earth.
The process of improvement according to the statement of the Head of Bappeda will be followed up in the near future. “This platform was renovated and well prepared as a means of providing information about West Papua. So if people talk about West Papua, don't come all the way to Taman Mini because there is a lot of information about tourism, investment, and other characteristics," he said.
The same thing was also conveyed by Plt. Head of the West Papua PUPR Service, Yohanis Momot, ST, MT. According to him, the purpose of the rehabilitation of the West Papua Pavilion will be to display the characteristics of the area as a whole. In addition, there are also miniature traditional houses from various regencies/us scattered in West Papua.
“There are ornaments that we need to change, there are Cassowaries and traditional houses from 12 regencies and 1 city, maybe we will complete them with the aim that before the end of the year they will be functional again. So if people enter from the front, it will be known that this is West Papua. In the next few days we will start with this work,” he explained.
