Nduga KKB Funds Buy Ammunition, 2 Village Officials Enter DPO

Two village officials in Nduga Regency are on the Papua Police's wanted list (DPO) related to the case of buying and selling ammunition for the Armed Criminal Group (KKB).

The status of the DPO for the two village officials was issued by the Papua Regional Police, Friday, August 12, 2022. Both have the initials A, who is the Village Secretary and GK, who is the Village Head.
 
“The DPO determination letter has been officially issued. Both are village officials in Nduga, but in different districts. For A is the Village Secretary and GK is the Village Head," said the Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Pol Ahmad Mustofa Kamal, last Friday.
 
In their role, said Kamal, the two of them each contributed Rp. 100 million to AN, an ASN in Nduga Regency, to be used to buy ammunition.

Previously, the Yalimo Police arrested an ASN in Nduga Regency with the initials AN, in Elelim District, for carrying 615 rounds of ammunition, Wednesday, June 29, 2022.

The arrest of AN began with the observation of officers who saw AN's suspicious movements while driving a two-wheeled vehicle.

After being dismissed and examined, the Yalimo Police found a number of evidences in the form of AFN-type homemade weapons and 615 rounds of ammunition.
 
From the results of the development, the Papuan Police arrested the Village Head with the initials TL, for allegedly providing funds to KKB to buy ammunition on August 4, 2022.
