The Papua Provincial Government provides 1.2 tons of basic food assistance for frost victims

The Papuan Provincial Government distributed 1.2 tons of basic necessities to victims of the frost natural disaster in Kuyawage District, Lanny Jaya Regency, Saturday.
 
Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Papua Province Muhammad Ridwan Ruikutun in a press release in Jayapura, Saturday, said that the food provided was in the form of basic staples and Rp200 million in cash.
 
"In total, we gave 1.2 tons of basic necessities such as instant noodles, cooking oil, sugar, coffee, salt, and several other necessities," he said.
 
According to Ridwan, he came to see firsthand what the conditions were so that the three affected villages received help.
 
"According to the direction of the Minister of Home Affairs that was conveyed to us that the presence of the government is very necessary at the scene of the frost disaster, then we coordinate, then present to provide assistance as well as see closely what must be done in the future," he said.
 
He explained that his party will continue to build coordination with the Regent of Lanny Jaya and his ranks so that whatever is needed will be supported because this activity is a joint task.
 
Meanwhile, in the same place, the Acting Regent of Lanny Jaya Petrus Wakerkwa said that the appreciation of the Papuan Provincial Government's attention and assistance was proof of the Papuan Provincial Government's great attention to humanitarian issues in Kuyawage.
 
"One clear evidence that the Papuan Provincial Government then from the Ministry of Social Affairs came to help people affected by the frost phenomenon in the Kuyawage District," he said.
 
The assistance was symbolically handed over by the Regional Secretary of Papua Muhammad Ridwan Ruikutun to the Acting Regent of Lanny Jaya Petrus Wakerkwa, and was also witnessed by the Assistant Secretary of the Papuan Regional Secretary for Government Affairs Doren Wakerkwa and the Head of the Papua Bappeda Johanis Walilo in the courtyard of the local Regent's Office, Saturday.
