Lanny Jaya Regency Government donates four pajero for Papua Mountains Province

The government of Lanny Jaya Regency, Papau Province, is ready to donate four vehicles, consisting of two Pajero Sport cars and two Mitsubishi Tritons to be used as official cars in the new province, Papua Mountains.

Regional Secretary (Sekda) Lanny Jaya, Petrus Wakerkwa in Wamena, Tuesday, said the gift of the car was their commitment to support the Acting Governor of Papua Mountains, the Regional Secretary and two other high-ranking officials.

"The four cars consist of two Tritons, two Pajeros. But first we will try one Pajero and one Triton," he said.

The government is seeking to procure cars with the 2022 regional budget (APBD).

"If the revised 2022 APBD is not enough, we'll see in the 2023 APBD," he said.

Lanny Jaya is one of eight regencies in Papua Province that are included in the new autonomous region (DOB) of the Papua Mountains Province, which is planned for the capital to be in Wamena, Jayawijaya Regency.

The eight regencies that are included in the Papua Mountains Province are Jayawijaya Regency, Bintang Mountains, Yahukimo, Tolikara, Central Mamberamo, Yalimo Regency, Lanny Jaya Regency and Nduga Regency.

Based on Antara's observation, because access to connecting roads between regencies and districts with the center of the district capital is very difficult, adequate vehicles are needed.
