"The provision of basic infrastructure for residents, such as decent housing, continues to be a concern for the Biak Numfor Regency government," he said.

Previously, the Head of the Biak Housing and Settlement Service, Frits G. Senandi, explained that livable houses have two degrees of feasibility, namely physical quality which includes three variables, such as the type of roof, the type of wall and the type of floor.

As for the feasibility measured by home facilities, continued Senandi, such as floor area per capita, sources of lighting and availability of toilet facilities.

He admitted that a livable house must have a strong construction structure, an ideal building area, and good sanitation.

"A habitable house has the availability of clean water supply in the house," said the alumni of APDN Palembang, South Sumatra.

Senandi said that until 2022, the interest of the people in various villages in the Biak Numfor Regency to have decent houses is still very high.
