Firli Bahuri Will Join the IDI Team See the Health Condition of the Governor of Papua Lukas Enembe

Firli Bahuri, chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission or KPK, is said to be attending along with a team of doctors from the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) to examine Papua Governor Lukas Enembe in Jayapura.

"It was confirmed that Jayapura will also attend, the Chairman of the KPK, as well as a doctor who has been appointed by the KPK team will come to examine," said Luke's attorney, Stefanus Roy Rening on October 17, 2022 at the KPK Red and White Building.

According to Roy, it was the KPK who asked to see firsthand the condition of the Governor of Papua. Roy considers this positive, so that the KPK investigators can see firsthand how Luke Enembe's condition is.

"So we saw firsthand the health condition of the Governor of Papua. It has been a long time since we invited the KPK and independent doctors to come to Papua. Why only now?" said Roy.
 
In addition, his party has coordinated with KPK investigators regarding the examination of Lukas Enembe with two Singaporean doctors. The KPK, said Roy, then asked that it be submitted to the personal doctor of the Governor of Papua, in order to coordinate with the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI).
 
"To prepare if there will be a visit from an independent team of doctors from IDI with investigators to confirm Pak Lukas' condition," said Roy.

Lukas Enembe has been named a suspect in the alleged corruption case in the form of receiving a gift or promise of Rp 1 billion. However, until now the KPK has not been able to examine Luke. The governor of Papua did not comply with the summons for examination by investigators on the grounds that he was sick.

"Actually, when the suspect LE or PH is not present, explaining directly in front of investigators is a loss, why? Because once again, he has been given space and space but did not use the opportunity," said KPK spokesman Ali Fikri.
