KPK Explores Use of Money Allegedly Received by Central Mamberamo Regent

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has traced the use of a sum of money received by the alleged Regent of Central Mamberamo Ricky Ham Pagawak (RHP) from several contractors. This was confirmed by the KPK through a witness, a civil servant of Central Mamberamo Regency named Slamet, who was questioned for the suspect of RHP at the KPK Red and White Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, October 19, 2022.

"His knowledge was investigated, among others, related to the alleged use of a sum of money received by the suspect RHP from several contractors working on projects in the Central Mamberamo Regency Government," said Acting KPK Spokesperson Ipi Maryati Kuding Thursday, October 20, 2022.

There are four suspects

The KPK has named four suspects in the alleged bribery and gratification case related to the implementation of various infrastructure development projects in Central Mamberamo Regency, Papua.

As the suspect, the recipient is RHP, while the giver is the President Director of PT Bina Karya Raya Simon Pampang (SP), Director of PT Bumi Abadi Perkasa Jusiendra Pribadi Pampang (JPP), and Director of PT Solata Sukses Pembangunan Marten Toding (MT).

The KPK has arrested three suspects in the case. Meanwhile, the suspect for RHP is currently on the wanted list (DPO).

In the construction of the case, the KPK explained that SP, JPP, and MT were contractors who wanted to get some infrastructure work projects in Central Mamberamo Regency. To be able to get the work project, they approached RHP who served as the Regent of Central Mamberamo for the 2013-2018 and 2018-2023 periods.
 
In this approach, the KPK suspects that there are offers from SP, JPP, and MT to RHP, among which they will give a sum of money if RHP is willing to immediately win in the construction of several work packages at the Central Mamberamo Regency Government.

Then, RHP agreed and was willing to fulfill the wishes and requests of the three suspects by ordering officials at the Central Mamberamo Public Works Agency to condition projects with large budgets to be given specifically to SP, JPP, and MT.

JPP is suspected of getting 18 work packages with a total value of Rp. 217.7 billion, namely the project for the construction of a student dormitory in Jayapura. Then, SP is suspected of getting six work packages with a value of Rp. 179.4 billion and MT is suspected of getting three work packages with a value of Rp. 9.4 billion.

The realization of giving money to RHP was done through bank account transfers using the names of several trusted people of Ricky Ham Pagawak.

The amount of money given by SP, JPP, and MT to RHP was around Rp. 24.5 billion. Not only that, the KPK also suspects that RHP received money from several other parties, the amount of which is still under investigation.
