Pertamina Papua guarantees the availability of fuel stock until the end of the year

Pertamina Patra Niaga, Sub Holding Commercial & Trading of PT Pertamina (Persero) Papua Maluku, said that his party guarantees the availability of fuel oil (BBM) stocks in Bumi Cenderawasih.

"We project that by the end of the year, fuel needs will be sufficient for the Papua region," said Executive General Manager of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Papua Maluku, I Ketut Permadi Aryakuumara to Antara in Jayapura, Thursday.

Ketut said that as of today, the stock for all fuel products at the Jayapura depot is still at the safe level of 10.5 days.

However, according to him, in the near future there will be additional tankers on the way so that is scheduled to arrive on October 11, 2022.

The additional tanker that was on its way, he continued, came from the Integrated Wayame terminal in Ambon.

According to Ketut, the realization of the subsidized fuel quota by the end of September, for diesel is only 72 percent while pertalite is 73 percent of the quota for Papua Province.
 
He explained that with the current fuel conditions, people don't need to panic or worry, but there is one thing that is a common concern where the targeted subsidy program must run well.
 
"For this reason, we hope that the community and the local government will jointly supervise the targeted subsidy program so that its use is used by people who are entitled to the subsidy allocation," he said.
 
He added that for subsidized fuel, Pertamina followed the market price so that as of the beginning of October, the Pertamax price at SBPU was reduced from the previous Rp14,850 to Rp14,200 per liter.
 
"There was a big decline at the beginning of the month, but for dexlite products, following the market price, there was an increase from the previous Rp17,450 to Rp18,100. Of course we will continue to evaluate the price of world oil developments," said Ketut.
